"Don't eat it all at once."
Despite being told otherwise, she polished it off within five minutes. She stood, and for the first time seince stepping inside, she moved away from the door to the pit and got another bowl, taking a seat near the fire and resumed eating.

He studied her, brushing the end of the cigarette against his pant leg before tossing it aside. He leaned against the wall, tilting his head up. He didn't care whether or not she ate the whole bowl. "I didn't think fox was that good."

"I didn't think fox was that good."
"It's not," she murmured through a cheekful, taking another bite and swallowing. "But it's better than dry rations." She finished her second bowl, went for a third, and after another ten minutes, that bowl was gone. She set it beside of her and leaned back, her demeanor and personality a little less tense as she closed her eyes with a sigh, savouring the heat a moment.

"It's not," "But it's better than dry rations."
Dietrich smirked softly. "I didn't think so. Haven't tried it myself."

"I didn't think so. Haven't tried it myself."
Her eyes opened and she stared at the ceiling, dreads spreading out around her head. "How long have you been here?"

How long have you been here?"
"Hmmm. Lets see, carry the 1, add three... Oh all my life really. I'm 22, remind me, how many years have passed by again?"

She snorted, a gloved hand reaching up and rubbing her cheek. "You're asking the wrong person. All I remember is this, nothing of the world I hear dreamers and past-clingers blabbering about. Crazy old goons," she grumbled. "They never make any damned sense."

"Well how in hell am I supposed to answer you if you don't know? Fine, how old are you? " if she only knew this then maybe it would give him a clue. "Although are you asking how long I have been in the shack or on the railroad itself?"

"Isn't it rude to ask a girl her age?" She sat up, thinking a moment. "I think nineteen. Last I checked. And the railroad."

"Isn't it rude to ask a girl her age?"
"I thought the saying implied asking a woman, not a girl. So no not rude."
"I think nineteen. Last I checked. And the railroad."
"Hmph, teenagers. No wonder you make no sense. And well then yes all my life here on the tracks."

"What the hell, man! I make no sense?!" her expression changed back to the one she had with the wallflower nickname. "There hasn't been a moment I haven't made any sense! Maybe you're just too damned dense to see it!"

"Oh? Name one." He stared at her. "Oh I know! Hiding behind a rock that was noticible. Saying one thing but doing the opposite." He titled his head. "Well that could be true but I doubt it."

"The rock was the closest place," she grumbled, bristling again. "When have I said one thing and did the opposite?"

Dietrich chuckled. "You seemed to like the name wallflower despite what you say."

"I told you not to call be that!" She hissed, glaring at him as she crossed her arms. "I hate it."
