"You mean all this time?" he half-squeaks in surprise. "All this time and you never told me?"
Ridge lifted his gaze to the boy, conflicting emotions in his eyes. Witnessing the realization he smiled a moment, turning his head away while keeping his eyes on him. "I didn't see a reason to, you've...become a fine man Adam. It doesn't matter who whether i'm your father or not. "
Reanna pulled her hand back to hit him, realizing that she had landed on top of him. As her fist was coming down she felt herself being pulled away and a angry while fearful scream was let loose. After she had rolled a few times she got to her feet, shaking away any dizziness from the fall. She started forward, pausing when she saw the knife. "Tch." Getting into a harsh stance she glared at him.

"Go, Ais."
"No. No, I'm not doing this again."
"He told you to run!"
"I don't care! I can't--"
"Broker!"
"Get back over here and move him."
"Temp.." Drake mutters, voice low as she pulls him up, face contorting in pain as he coughs up a mouthful of blood "Shit.." he gets out, hand going to his mouth before he looks to Aislin "I thought I said to run."

Mouth opened slightly in disbelief, he shakes his head a little. "You're wrong. It matters." He pauses and swallows hard, a hand running over his face. "I only became who I am because you steered me." Adam smiles a little, eyes bright with the emotion he can't decide whether to shed or not. "I always looked at you as the father I never had, only to find out that...that you're really him."
"Temp.. I thought I said to run."
"Breathe," Tempest murmurs, watching the other two.
Aislin shakes her head, face determined. "I'm tired of running."
"Tch."
"you've got two choices, sweetheart," Tobe murmurs to Reanna, poised. "You can walk away now with your life, exact your revenge later, giving yourself more time to plan. Because who does like extra time when it comes to murder? Or, you can try to come at them again with a 99.9 percent chance that you aren't walking away from this in tact. The options are out there, and the ball's in your court."

Ridge closed his eyes as he felt the ghost of Leslie's hand brushing his shoulder. "I only did what I had to. I told you back on that day- you follow me on the tracks and you'll learn how to work. " a smirk appeared in his eyes. "I wasn't about to let a kid be hurt on the tracks over something stupid. Over time you just kinda grew on me. "

Reanna cursed, debating whether or not to advance further. True she wanted to kill at least one of the two, but right now she was tired of chasing him down all the time, as well as fighting. However she was more tired of living- for she saw no reason why she should anymore. She had no friends, no family. Everything that had given her a purpose in life had abandoned her. So as a result she in turn discarded her emotions. With a steely gaze she rushed towards him.

"Breathe,"
"I'm tired of running."
"Goddammit Aislin." Drake mutters, opening his mouth to try and convince her to leave again before Tobe's voice reaches his ears and he slowly turns, struggling to breathe clearly

Watching Reanna contemplate it a moment, he starts to relax until his breath stops as his eyes flash, the threat of war looming when she decides to rush forward "No!" he hisses, teeth gritted as he pulls from Tempest, darting forward to knock her down. Rolling, Drake groans when he hits the ground rolling before he comes to a stop, breathing labored as he forces himself up somewhat "If you die, then what's the point of us being war, hmm?" he mutters, laughing darkly around the mouthful of blood "We live for strife, not a void. You rush him now who am I supposed to fight?"

"You still became the father I wished I had," Adam smiled sadly, then looked to his mother. "I only wish things had been a little different. But, this changes nothing." He looks back to Ridge, and then he steps over and hugs him tightly. "It just makes things seem a little less bleak."

Dresden watches as Aislin conjures shadows after Drake and Reanna rolled, and Tobe remains where he stood. However, after catching a glimpse of Tempest's image shimmering out of focus, he whirls around and looks at her, then towards Adam's mother. He swears, though before he can say anything, Tempest speaks to Aislin.
"Keep him safe," she says quietly as she stands, looking at the girl as she realizes that this couldn't go on forever. "You have to keep him on track, Aislin. Don't let him fall."
Aislin looks at her quickly and shakes her head, voice quivering. "No, you have to stay. We--"
"You have to." She looks towards Dresden, who lowers her head and presses her forehead into the snow, trying to drive out the searing heat she feels. "She's done what she could, but I can't let her suffer either. I'm sorry." She looks towards Drake and smiles gently, and then to Reanna. "I'm sorry that my good intentions have darkened your heart, Rea, but know that I still care. Not a moment passes that I regret making all of you run. And Drake," she looks at him, "I'll always love you. But don't let the past keep you from a future that is brighter. Promise me that you'll strive to help things become better."

"You still became the father I wished I had," "I only wish things had been a little different. But, this changes nothing."
Ridge looked down at his words, eyes swirling with regret. He didn't see himself that way- the only thing he saw was a man who ran away from his responsibility. Everything was left behind- his wife, his son, even his self control was gone. His entire concentration went to the train, and every fiber of his being was immersed into his job.
"It just makes things seem a little less bleak."
He stiffened when he felt two arms around him, eyes widening. After everything he had done, the boy still wanted to call him his father. And because of this, he wasn't sure how to respond. Could he do it- was he capable of being a father? Feeling a hand on his shoulder he sighed, raising his left arm up to the boys shoulder blades.
"No!"
Reanna grunted as she felt a force slam into her from the side. She closed her eyes as she rolled, her teeth gritting from the impact.
"If you die, then what's the point of us being war, hmm?" "We live for strife, not a void. You rush him now who am I supposed to fight?"
She laid there a moment before groaning as she pushed herself up somewhat. "What's it to you if I die? Don't act like you care." She paused at the question. Who was he supposed to fight? She had never really thought about it, but the only reason that she had to keep her going was messing with him, and as he said creating strife in his life. That was her original purpose. And honestly she was more than happy to make that happen.
"I'm sorry that my good intentions have darkened your heart, Rea, but know that I still care. Not a moment passes that I regret making all of you run.
Reanna had just considered attacking again, only to stop upon hearing her speak. Her eyes quickly moved to the woman she had considered a sister, only to fall towards the ground. "You did nothing wrong..." She muttered with her eyes shadowed and downcast. It didn't take her long to realize what was happening. Her friend was about to be gone forever.
