"I'll be okay."
"C-cael!" Dia murmurs, eyes wavering at the forced smile "You're hurt.. Put me down!.." voice slipping, she looks away, watching the sun "Is it unsafe for you here?"
"Tell me, who exactly are you? First you were out to kill me, then to help, kill me again, and now a truce."
"Just an mercenary of sorts, not so much unlike yourself, assassin." Keifer murmurs, eyes sharp as he looks over at her "Let's just say we have a common interest."

"C-cael! You're hurt.. Put me down!.. Is it unsafe for you here?"
"Oh, quit," he murmurs quietly. "We're only going to my barrack, and that's not far." Cael pauses at her second statement. "Now, probably. Whoever forced that woman's hand more than likely is watching somewhere. Which mean's I've got to run." He pauses for a long moment again. "I may run back south, to my brother. If he found what he set out to find, then he'll be coming to find me soon enough. But being here not only puts myself in danger, but it puts him in it, too."
"Just an mercenary of sorts, not so much unlike yourself, assassin. Let's just say we have a common interest."
She straightens her collar and starts for the door, her business finished here. "A common interest? What would that involve?"

"Why are you helping me to the barracks?" Dia whispers, quiet, voice wavering "I mean, I know we're.. Friends, but if you're in danger wouldn't it be quicker to leave me here now so you can run ahead? One less person to worry about.."
"A common interest? What would that involve?"
"Trying to find justice in this world, for those who were, or are lost to us." Keifer murmurs, following her out

A small smirk tugs at Cael's lips, eyes trained ahead. "If I left a woman laying on the ground and ran to protect myself, Zale would kill me. That, and I'd feel awful about it."
"Trying to find justice in this world, for those who were, or are lost to us."
"Sometimes that justice is bittersweet." Calestial looks around a moment before she starts towards the fence, re-situating her pouch and pack. "What to do now," she murmurs to herself, eyes sharp. If she abandons the ones who sent her here, they were liable to hunt her down. But if she returned empty handed, then things were going to get messy. However, if she went and reports in to those she needed to, they may be able to help remove the former threat. "Tch." she snorts quietly and scales the fence, perching up top a moment before she drops.

"And if I were a man? Just someone you cut up with?" Dia asks, voice low as she looks down, sighing "Why would you feel bad about it? It's that normal these days, chivalry is a dying cause."
"Sometimes that justice is bittersweet. What to do now,. Tch."
Jaw ticking at the first statement, he looks away, gaze hardening slightly "Why don't we just make camp somewhere, if not going back to my tent." Keifer asks calmly, eyes flicking up to her, still down at the case of the fence

"And if I were a man? Just someone you cut up with? Why would you feel bad about it? It's that normal these days, chivalry is a dying cause."
"Worse, because then he'd chew me out for wasting a good ally," Cael answers easily. "Besides, you're a close friend of mine, so there's no way I'd leave you behind anyway." He carries her to his part of the barracks, stepping inside and setting her on the only couch.
"Why don't we just make camp somewhere, if not going back to my tent."
"I set up camp east of here," she answers as she lands on the other side. "So there's a few things I need to grab. You can wait here if you want."

"Ally?" Dia murmurs, laughing shortly after a moment, hand going to her mouth to try and stifle them as he lays her down "Nice to know I'm valuable, I suppose."
"I set up camp east of here. So there's a few things I need to grab. You can wait here if you want."
"I'll stay here, if you will return." Keifer mutters, turning and sitting with his back against the fence, bow held in front of him, gaze sharp

"Ally? Nice to know I'm valuable, I suppose."
"Why wouldn't you be valuable?" He sits down by her on the floor, sinking low and letting his head rest against the couch, taking a deep breath as he rubs his thigh. "I wish she didn't stab me so hard," he grumbles.
"I'll stay here, if you will return."
"I'll be back." She takes off and disappears into the woods, pulling her hood up and her scarf. She makes it to her small camp sight within minutes, stopping and looking around before she gathers what she needs and buries the rest. All she grabs is a pack and a small draw string bag on a cord from her makeshift tent, hanging the small object around her neck and under her shirt, shoulders her pack, and finishes hiding any evidence that she was there. Once she returns back to the camp, it had been at least twenty minutes.

"Why wouldn't you be valuable? I wish she didn't stab me so hard,"
"Why am I?" Dianora murmurs, looking at him with a raised eyebrow before she stills, gaze wavering at his words "I wish it hadn't happened at all.."
"I'll be back."
"You better be." Keifer mutters, unmoving until she returns, eyes closed

"Why am I? I wish it hadn't happened at all.."
"Because you're a friend," he replies, hand still rubbing. "I do too, but somehow, I don't think it'll happen again, at least not but her hands."
Calestial walks back to the fence, scaling it effortlessly despite the rather heavy pack on her back.

"Are you sure?" Dia murmurs quietly, biting her lip before she shifts, trying to move towards him "Let me see."
"Took you long enough." Keifer mutters, eyes flicking to her as they open, brushing his jeans off as he stands

"Are you sure? Let me see."
"I'm fine, really," he protests, though once she's close enough he moves his hand, the only evidence of the antidote being a small tear. His hand, though, moves to his side, trying to hide the gash there, which by now had darkened his shirt and somewhat stopped bleeding as the fabric stuck to it.
"Took you long enough."
"I had something to do," she murmurs back, eyeing him. "Where to now?"

"I'm fine, really,"
Relief filling Dia's gaze when she sees the antidote seems to be working before she stiffens, eyes widening at the sight of the blood "Cael!" she whispers, voice strangled as she leans in and moves his hand, her own fingers gently pulling up his shirt so she can see the wound better
"I had something to do. Where to now?"
"We could go back to the camp I'm originally from." Keifer mutters, standing with a shrug "Or you can lead the way, I don't care really."

"Cael!"
Cael moves away from the couch slightly, still on the ground with a hand on his side and the other reaching out. "W-wait, it's fine, I'm fine, D-Dia--" His ramble cuts short as he hisses when the fabric is pulled from his skin, cringing. "Ah, that smarts. It's okay, it's just a small cut, I'll be fine. It's from when she initially attacked me." However, at her expression he sighs, realizing that telling her he was fine isn't going to work, the wound bloodied and the skin angry near it as the last of the poison wears off from it. "It just reopened when I tackled her in the room."
"We could go back to the camp I'm originally from. Or you can lead the way, I don't care really."
"I can't return to camp yet," she answers, then motions for him to lead the way. "So, it looks like I'll be following you."

Flinching at his hiss, Dia whispers a quick apology, gaze wavering at the sight of the wound, gaze filling with horror, then worry "Cael... Stop staying it's okay, alright?.." she murmurs, barely audible as she drops his shirt and attempts to stand
"I can't return to camp yet. So, it looks like I'll be following you."
"Then let's go. It'll be night soon." Keifer mutters, looking back at her before he takes off at a jog, boots thudding on the ground
