"It's just a scratch. Clean it with this. It'll sting, but it'll kill anything that was on the arrow."
Gaze slowly raising to his, Dia takes the rag after a few moments, studying him before she shifts, raising his shirt and pressing the cloth to his side, ignoring her scratch, for now "You're bleeding too.."
"Calm down!" Keifer mutters, hand slipping over her mouth as he winces, wind knocked out of him "Unless you want others to find us, I suggest you rethink your strategy."

"You're bleeding too.."
He hisses quietly as he leans against the counter, moving his hand as she dabs the gash. "I'll live. This isn't the first time her blade's found me."
"Calm down! Unless you want others to find us, I suggest you rethink your strategy."
She freezes, gaze locked on his, before it sharpens even further and she hisses at him from under his hand. "What are you talking about, us?"

"I'll live. This isn't the first time her blade's found me."
"That's not reassuring..." Dia whispers, barely audible, trying to focus on cleaning his wound, face still slightly wet, eyes red "Who was that girl?..."
"What are you talking about, us?"
"Who do you work for?" Keifer hisses back, eyes narrowing into slits as he holds her down "And how naive are you? Thinking that would've worked."

"That's not reassuring... Who was that girl?..."
"All I know is she's an assassin," he murmurs, jerking a little with a hiss. "She's been following me for as long as I can remember." Something twists in his stomach, but he ignores it.
"Who do you work for? And how naive are you? Thinking that would've worked."
She jerks her head free. "As if I'll tell you. And I didn't go in to kill. This was my fail safe. I couldn't have gotten in quietly with you on my tail, so I had to take another route."

"All I know is she's an assassin. She's been following me for as long as I can remember."
"Why don't..." Voice faltering, Dia looks down, going quiet "Why don't you run?..."
"As if I'll tell you. And I didn't go in to kill. This was my fail safe. I couldn't have gotten in quietly with you on my tail, so I had to take another route."
"Then what did you go in there for?" Keif growls, annoyance crossing his features "You will tell me, unless you want to return to them empty handed."

"Why don't..." Voice faltering, Dia looks down, going quiet "Why don't you run?..."
"I have been," he replies quietly, gaze raising to her face, and he notices the moisture and the redness in her eyes. "Are you okay?"
"Then what did you go in there for? You will tell me, unless you want to return to them empty handed."
"Poison," she replies shortly. "Either way, he will become a corpse, and I refuse to fail."

"I have been. Are you okay?"
"Is that why you came to this camp, why I found you passed out in the ditch a mile east of here a few months back? Because you were running?" Dia murmurs, eyes clouding, shakes her head lightly at his question "I'll be okay..." she whispers, voice slipping
"Poison. Either way, he will become a corpse, and I refuse to fail."
"You poisoned that kid?" Keifer mutters, shaking her by the collar of her shirt once, teeth gritted "Why. What did he do to deserve death?"

"Is that why you came to this camp, why I found you passed out in the ditch a mile east of here a few months back? Because you were running? "I'll be okay..."
He looks down with a nod. "Yes," he murmurs. Something twists inside him again, and he recognizes the pain and his gaze quickly finds Dia. "I need ginger, cayenne and willow."
"You poisoned that kid? Why. What did he do to deserve death?"
Something flickers across her gaze, the brown lightening a fraction as her thoughts immediately went to Lilo. "I have no choice!" She snaps as a shred of desperation finds its way into her voice. "I don't know what he did, and even then it wouldn't matter. I'm just their tool." Her voice lowered and shook, a strand of hair falling from the bun she wore and brushing her cheek. "If he doesn't die, they'll hurt her."

"Yes. I need ginger, cayenne and willow."
"I..." Dia starts, eyes widening at his outburst and tone, looks around, scrambling to search for the spices, trying to focus, blood on her cheek drying
"I have no choice! I don't know what he did, and even then it wouldn't matter. I'm just their tool. If he doesn't die, they'll hurt her."
Stiffening at her words, Keifer studies her before his eyes shadow, releases her, leaning back and offering his hand to her "Who do they have?"

"I..."
Cael takes the alcohol and instead of just using the rag, he pours it straight on the wound, lifting the collar of his shirt to his mouth and bites down, swallowing a groan. He grabs a clean rag and presses it to the gash, bending forward slightly. He murmurs around the fabric, "Damn her."
"Who do they have?"
She swallows as he moves, half expecting a different reaction, and then she stares at his hand. "My sister," she murmurs quietly, gaze wary.

Finding what he asked for, Dia hurries back to him, flinching at his actions, looks down, eyes wide as she holds her hand out "Cael... What's going on..."
"My sister,"
Gaze shadowing, Keifer's fist slowly clenches at his side, exhaling "Then let's go kill him. We should have a diversion here shortly, my arrows are tipped with a paralytic juice, and it struck that woman's cheek."

"Cael... What's going on..."
He drops the fabric and takes the spices and finds a bottle of brandy and makes a drink out of it. "Her blade was poisoned." His hands worked quickly. "It's the same poison from a few times ago."
"Then let's go kill him. We should have a diversion here shortly, my arrows are tipped with a paralytic juice, and it struck that woman's cheek."
"I'm glad I didn't get hit by them," she murmurs, standing. "Why would you want to help me? I thought you hunted criminals."

"Her blade was poisoned. It's the same poison from a few times ago."
"Poison?" Dia squeaks, taking a step towards him when her vision starts to act up, sways for a moment "Wha..." she murmurs, managing to get out that syllable before she starts to fall, colliding with a table on the way down, dough flying
"I'm glad I didn't get hit by them. Why would you want to help me? I thought you hunted criminals."
"Yea, well, it was suppose to hit the kid." Keif mutters, sighing "I do. But I won't stand by while someone is held against their will, I hate blackmail. I'm giving you a grace period. Nothing more, nothing less. Now. Let's get going. If we're going to do this, it has to be fast."

"Poison? Wha..."
"Dia!" He forgets about the drink he made and hurries to her side, shirt stained. "Dia, what's wrong?"
"Yea, well, it was suppose to hit the kid. I do. But I won't stand by while someone is held against their will, I hate blackmail. I'm giving you a grace period. Nothing more, nothing less. Now. Let's get going. If we're going to do this, it has to be fast."
She nods, though hesitant, and takes off towards the camp. "Why are you after him?"

"Dia! Dia, what's wrong?"
Eyes snapping back and forth, her gaze flicks to his face, panic setting in when she realizes she can't feel her limbs or move them. Lips parted, she gasps, trying to form words around a tongue that won't move, fear appearing on her face
"Why are you after him?"
"Because I wanted to help you out. Problem? I don't really have a reason besides that, besides, you looked like you needed it." Keifer murmurs, pulling up his mask as he runs
