"The arrow, shit," he hissed, feeling a fog creep into his thoughts and he grips his side and stands, looking around. "Something to help. Damn it." He starts searching through the cabinets.
"Because I wanted to help you out. Problem? I don't really have a reason besides that, besides, you looked like you needed it."
"I don't appreciate handouts," she murmurs, though she continues on and scales the fence, darting back towards the building. Once at the door, she kicks it in and pulls her hood up at the same time, knives ready.

"The arrow, shit. Something to help. Damn it."
Breaths shallow, Dia's eyes follow him as he moves, tries to tell him to take care of himself first, only strangled sounds passing her lips, unable to warn him or help when the door is kicked in
"I don't appreciate handouts,"
"Oh, shut it." Keif mutters, keeping up with her with ease, strides long. Upon passing through the doorway, arrow drawn, his eyes automatically flick to the woman in the floor, sighs "See, told you we'd have an opening."

"See, told you we'd have an opening."
Calestial whips her knife out and poised to attack as Cael whirls around, but he stumbles and drops to the ground, clinging desperately to the counter. The girl's muscles relaxed as she steps over the woman on the floor and moves over to him, standing over him as he gasps for air. "I knew that even if you knew which I used, you wouldn't be able to fix it." She looks over at the glass on the counter and sniffs. "You were close on the antidote, too, but you forgot mullen." Her gaze finds his face again.
Sweat coats his brow as he feels his lungs scream, hand gripping the gash on his side. "You know, don't you," he wheezes.
"Know what?"
"My connection to them," he coughs roughly, leaning against the cabinet as his hand drops from the counter. "To Pestilence through my brother."
She frowns deeply. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Then your masters know."

"Oh, for the love of. Will you let us kill you or do I need to give you some incentive to consider your options."
Cael curses and starts to get up, but Calestial shoves him back with a boot and holds out her hand to Keifer. "Drop her," she murmurs. "He'll die either way, by my blade or the poison." She pulls a throwing knife out and throws it at the glass of the antidote, it shattering and spilling it's contents over the counters. She crouches, a knife poised at his throat. "Tell me what you know about the people who hired me."
He swears and flinches, gaze taut. "All I know is they're for hell's reign. They're after the prophets and the hosts that stand for humanity, and helping the others that don't. And they hire people like you to do the dirty work."
"Prophets?"
"People tied to the four horsemen as counter actives, to stop the spread of chaos."
"The horsemen."
"I only know that they're demons from hell that started it all, and the reason we're in this shit hole in the first place."
Her knife presses against his skin further. "Your brother. Who is he?"
He flinches. "A prophet for Pestilence. I don't know about the others. I just know that the people who want things to end and enter the rule of the demons are after him." When the blade presses further he panics. "That's all I know, I swear."
Calestial studies him. "Do you know how to stop them? Those who want you dead."
"Other than fighting back, no," he wheezes, then laughs sharply. "I don't even know why I'm telling you this."
"Because you were going to die." She pulls a needle from her pouch at her waist and stabs his chest with it, though her voice is dangerous. "Stay in here, and don't leave. Not for a few days." He grimaces, struggling under her weight. "If you do, I will kill you, again." She jostles him and stands, looking at Keifer. "And you should know not to believe everything an assassin says."

"Drop her. He'll die either way, by my blade or the poison."
"Fine." Keif mutters after a few moments of tense silence, turning away from Dia as she hits the ground, tsking in annoyance
"Tell me what you know about the people who hired me."
"All I know is they're for hell's reign. They're after the prophets and the hosts that stand for humanity, and helping the others that don't. And they hire people like you to do the dirty work."

"Because you were going to die. Stay in here, and don't leave. Not for a few days. If you do, I will kill you, again. And you should know not to believe everything an assassin says."
"What the hell." he hisses, pulling his bow and notching an arrow in a flash, tip of it pointed at his chest "You really believe that bullshit?" he asks, eyes narrowed, face shadowing as he laughs slightly "Perhaps you shouldn't believe the words of a stranger."
Eyes filling with tears when she hears the antidote shatter, Dia gasps, trying to scream for help, desperation filling her gaze as she tries to get her limbs to work. Stilling when she feels her finger twitch, her gaze widens, waits a few moments until Dres's attention is on the Keifer before she sits up and scurries to Cael, slipping his arm around her shoulders to help him up. Freezing when the mans eyes find her, she tenses, ready to run. Frowning in confusion when he simply looks away, she purses her lips and makes her way out as fast as she can, terrified

Cael groans as he's lifted, trying to get his feet underneath of him as they run out. "What the hell," he murmurs.
"What the hell. You really believe that bullshit? Perhaps you shouldn't believe the words of a stranger."
"I don't just believe it," she replies. "I confirmed it. Rumors had been flying about recently, about things coming out of shadow and into the light of day. And the fact that they sent me after a rather innocent looking guy," she gestures to the door, "it's enough to make me believe that there's more to this that I'm not being told." Calestial eyes the arrow, but her gaze travels back to his face. "Yes, I have a sister, and yes, I was actually blackmailed. But not by the same people that sent me to him. In fact, it was for a whole other reason, though it's connected to this."

"What the hell."
"Are you okay?" Dia whispers, voice cracking with panic as she leads him away, trying to hurry, muscles still slightly numb but pushing herself to move, adrenaline kicking in
"I don't just believe it. I confirmed it. Rumors had been flying about recently, about things coming out of shadow and into the light of day. And the fact that they sent me after a rather innocent looking guy, it's enough to make me believe that there's more to this that I'm not being told. Eyes narrowing at her words, Keifer studies her a moment longer before he shifts his arm and releases the arrow, watching as it strikes the wall next to her head, another already notched, aimed at her heart "Move and the next one kills you. Explain to me what's going on or I shoot." he hisses, odd hitch in his tone, thinking hard

"Are you okay?"
After a few meters Cael finally gets his feet under him, though he isn't steady. "Y-yeah. I'll be okay."
"Move and the next one kills you. Explain to me what's going on or I shoot."
When the arrow flies, she doesn't even flinch as it brushes by her cheek and ear, eyes remaining even on Keifer. "The horsemen are rising," she starts slowly. "Why, I don't know. I haven't been told yet. Some humans have figured that out. Some are siding with the dark, some with humanity, and finding the hosts is the one chance of humanity fighting back and taking back the world that was once ours. Yes, I'm an assassin. But I'm also an informant. At first, I was blackmailed by those looking for the people who are gathering with the horsemen. My sister's safety for my services." A thin smile touches her lips. "I don't have the cleanest record, but after a run in with a demon, I needed help for her. In the process, I was caught, and my services exploited by the people that sent me here. I tried making light of the situation."

"Y-yeah. I'll be okay."
"Good." Dia whispers, leaning him against a wall when she starts to tire, arm sliding from around his waist before she starts to fall, legs giving out on her
"The horsemen are rising,"
"The horsemen?" Keifer murmurs, eyes narrowing before he lowers his bow a fraction of an inch "I'm listening."
"Why, I don't know. I haven't been told yet. Some humans have figured that out. "And just what side are you on?" he hisses, slowly lowering his bow with a ticked jaw, small flash of understanding crossing his face when she mentions her sister, sighs

"Good."
Cael feels her start to drop. "Dia? Dia, hey, hey wait." He struggles to catch her though in the end he just falls with her. He pulls her to him before they hit the ground, propping himself against the side of the building, shaking her. "Dia?"
"And just what side are you on?"
"I want humanity to thrive again," she says quietly. "I think everyone has seen enough pain and suffering."

"Dia? Dia, hey, hey wait. Dia?"
"It's just... Just a spell.." Dia murmurs, voice strangled, eyes wide, gaze distant, mind lost in the mass of fear and anxiety, nerves shot "I'll be okay in a moment.."
"I want humanity to thrive again. I think everyone has seen enough pain and suffering
Jaw ticking, Keifer studies her a moment longer before he replaces his bow at his back, hand reaching out towards her "I'm calling a timeout, at least for now. But if you do anything stupid, I won't hesitate to take action. Deal?"

"It's just... Just a spell.. I'll be okay in a moment.."
Cael sits by her, quiet, though his gaze holds worry. "Are you sure?"
"I'm calling a timeout, at least for now. But if you do anything stupid, I won't hesitate to take action. Deal?"
Calestial looks at his hand, then at him, and slowly she takes it with a small nod. Deal."

"Are you sure?"
"No... I can't really feel my legs..." Dia whispers, gaze wavering as she answers, slowly looking up at him, in shock "Are you okay?..."
"Deal."
"Good." Keifer states, turning away, arm dropping from hers

"No... I can't really feel my legs... Are you okay?..."
He takes her arm around his shoulders and picks her up, forcing a smile. He still felt the sluggishness in his head, and the sting is still there. "I'll be okay."
"Good."
She eyes him a moment, watching. "Tell me, who exactly are you? First you were out to kill me, then to help, kill me again, and now a truce."
