Here is where many of your merchants, police force, medical personnel, and the mayor can be found. Often times packed in the streets, things aren't too bad in the area. Scuffles are minimal, as despite the shortage of supplies the people aren't too upset with their demise.

Once they were there, Dietrich looked around- a look of wariness intertwined with curiosity. He had never been to the city since everything started. He doubted it would be the same as he remembered, but even still he wasn't sure how he felt about it.

Dres pulled up her hood, falling into line with others and slipping through the gates unseen and worked towards town square, eyes flicking about as she looked for the markings that showed her drop points. She followed a certain carved symbol, weaving through the streets with ease.

Dietrich followed her quietly. He honestly didn't care if the girl wanted to go alone or not, he just didn't want to stand still and do nothing. So he followed, eyes examining things here and there.

Dres took a sharp turn down an alley, trotting to the back and moving through a tarp that hung from a barricade, stopping on the other side. "Delivery," she called out, pulling off her pack. A few people stepped forward and watched her a moment, all with their own goods in hand, and she pulled a few things out and traded. And it was all done in near silence.
However, a girl with light brown came forward, hesitating. "Miss?"
Dres paused from where she was zipping up her pack after the ordeal and looked up, her expression tightening a little.
"Do you... Do you have something I could give my brother? I-It's his birthday soon."
She stared a moment, and wordlessly opened her pack again, rummaging through, then pulled out a small wrapped and sealed packet. "Here. It's a small pastry, and this," she pulled a small handmade candle, "can be used to decorate it." She offered a small smile as she held it out. "If you have something more specific, I can try searching for it and returning with it on my rounds again."
The little girl's face brightened, "thank you! I do know of something else." She leaned down and whispered to Dres, the others watching with slightly surprised expressions. She leaned back, and smiled brightly when Dres nodded.
"I can do that." The little girl gave her a hug then hurried off, leaving Dres to stare after her a moment, a murmur rippling through a couple of people as Dres zipped her pack up and stood. She looked around. "If there's any special requests, tell me now so I be sure to get it before I return."

Dietrich watched her interact with everyone quietly. So Adam was indeed wrong, she wasn't entirely as cold as she left everyone to believe. His gaze shifted to the little girl and his eyes softened. From what he gathered, she was certainly brave to be asking that of Dres.
A older woman walked up slowly due to her age and looked the girl in her eyes. "You wouldn't happen to have any books would you? "

"You wouldn't happen to have any books would you? "
Dres turned to her. "Right now, no. They were traded on my last stop. What kind are you looking for?"

"Some classics would be nice. Although maybe a few books for my granddaughter."

"Some classics would be nice. Although maybe a few books for my granddaughter."
Nodding, Dres made the mental note. "I should have some come my next visit, then."

"Bless you child." she walked away. Had to get back to her granddaughter.

"Bless you child."
Dres bowed her head towards the woman, shifting her pack again and watched as the crowd started to disperse. She sighed in slight relief and pulled her hood up, turning away and towards the barricade.

Dietrich followed her, thoughts the only thing that was loud to him. "So you find things for the citizens- that's nice of you. "

"So you find things for the citizens- that's nice of you. "
"Depends on where I am," she murmured, stepping through the tarp. "For them, yes, I find the things they can't get on their own. For Locheshead, or Fort Wynn, I go outside the normal zones to retrieve something that was left behind and smuggle it back in. Unfortunately, I can't be too picky about my job."

Dietrich looked around once he had passed through the flap. "Well there are worse jobs from what i've heard. I understand why you have yours."

"Well there are worse jobs from what i've heard. I understand why you have yours."
She shrugged, feeling a little more at ease than before she made the run, her thoughts drifting to the girl. "I couldn't do anything else even if I wanted."
