The Horsemen of the Apocalypse
The horsemen all have their own host(s) and helpers throughout the world, helping them bring chaos above. Each host has their own tattoo, and the pairings and assistants have tattoos based off of that. Before the host's awaken, they bear the main half of their tattoo design, and the pairing has the missing piece. The assistant, however, has the full design. Once the host awakens, both their and their pairing's tattoos become the whole design as long as the host swings for humanity. If the host chooses chaos, then the host will have the complete tattoo and the pairing loses the piece they gained, having only the fragment they had before the awakening.
War
Fierce and bloodthirsty, War is a warmonger par excellence. Armed with a great sword and riding a fiery horse, he is war itself. He would rather cut your head off than bother tolerating you and is incapable of realizing that two wrongs don’t make a right. He is who stirred up the conflict for the end of the beginning, and loves to create the fights wherever he strays. War is his passion, and his love.
Abilities: Combat Perception
Replication
Character Host: Drake (tongue)
Pairing: Aislin (above brow)
Assistant: Reanna (pack of neck)
Famine
Famine is the bringer of dearth and deprivation, and the sower of scarcity and starvation. Armed with a pair of weighing scales, he oppresses the poor and starves the weak. He is hell-bent on keeping the rich richer and the poor poorer by blinding the world with a veil of scarcity that hides the wealthy abundance of the earth. Famine is all about smoke and mirrors, deceit and snake oil.
Character Host: Charlie (back)
Pairing: Taliesin (left side)
Assistant: Monica (upper arm)
Pestilence
Pestilence carries a bow and wears a victor’s crown. This horseman is the overreach of mankind. He is bound and determined to conquer the world with excess, and the aggrandizement of the human condition, which leads to greed and a gross imbalance between nature and the human soul. Wherever there is disease there is medicine, but this horseman has suppressed the medicine in favor of the disease by pushing ever-forward with his conquer-control-consume-destroy-repeat agenda. Clad in a showy and barbarous attire, he bends his bow in order to spread pestilence abroad with poisoned arrows, containing the germs of all diseases.
Abilities: Disease Manipulation
Disease Generation
Neutocognitive Deficit
Character Host: Rowan (upper chest close to collarbone)
Pairing: Zale (wrists)
Assistant: Gerome (back)
Death
Death sits upon his pale high-horse mocking the life half-lived, a too-big god gambling with his godmanship. He is sharpening halos with his scythe. He is hell-bent on bringing hell to everyone's doorstep, and he’s damn good at it. Armed with a scythe, he is the end of mankind with Hades in his pocket and he’s not afraid to use him. He is gray and uncouth, sickly and soldierly, reaping greatly upon what the others have sown. He is circumspect, patiently waiting for his host(s) to give into the End of Times agenda. He doesn’t want you to know that the beginning is near. And he will continue to keep the secrets of the Earth from you until the fifth horseman stops him.
Abilites: Darkness Manipulation
Life and Death Embodiment (this depends on which side the host swings to, and it doesn't come without a price.)
Character Host: Dresden (back of hands)
Pairing: Makai (eye)
Assistant: Grieve (back)
Providence
Providence cleans up after the original four horsemen. The Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse represents rebirth and renewal in the face of conquest, war, famine, and death. And, the fifth horseman isn’t even a man. She is a woman, feminine and ruthless with her healing powers. She is Phoenix-like and armed with the Aegis of Freedom and the Sword of Ploughshares, rising up from the ashes of war & decay to spread light in hopes of others seeing it. She has devoted herself to planting gardens of heroism in the humus of war, hate, close-mindedness and greed, and anything else left behind by the original four horsemen. And so she subsumes the original four horsemen and teaches them that the NEW definition of right & wrong must be derived from the natural dictation of healthy & unhealthy rather than the human opinion of good & evil. But she's met along the way with resistance from the other horsemen, her hosts struggling to thrive in a world dominated by them.
Character Host: Geoffrey (foot)
Pairing: Bellemere (temple)
Assistant: Desolate (shoulder)
