Another Moment's hesitation. "Echo." She looked at the box, then added, "Echo Diaz."

"It's a pleasure." Spiro murmurs, small smile before he sets the box down and slowly opens it, small grunt as something barrels out of it, knocking him over where he kneels

Echo let out a startled yelp and stumbled back, pressing her back against the wall as she stood on pointe. Seeing the form move she sunk back against the wall, eyes watching before she made a face, mixed of fear and uncertainty as well as determination as she coiled to spring and catch it.

Immediately, the tension was gone from Echo's limbs and she just stared blankly at the pup, leaning against the wall for support. A dog? Why did he have a dog in a box? She stiffened again, unused to being near a dog, let alone a person, and she just watched them with a wary gaze.

"She's not going to hurt you." he murmurs as soon as he sees Echo's expression, voice light "I found her near a dumpster, bone thin. She still is. But it's so rare to see a dog anymore, I had to take her in."

She swallowed and lowered herself down, still watching them, uncertain. "I-I've never seen a pup up close before," she said quietly.

"Really? Then you're in for a treat. Come say hello." he suggests, half smile, holding the pup out towards her

Her gaze flicked between him and the pup, hesitating. Then she slowly moved closer to him and, watching the pup, reached forward towards it to pet her head.

Watching, Spiro smiles some as the pup yips quietly, licking Echo's hand weakly "Want to feed her?"

She started when the pup licked her hand, but a small delighted smile found its way to her features. "Sure," she said gently, watching the pup.

Smiling, he stands and rummages around in a small bag, pauses before he returns to her, carrying a piece of half molded bread "Here."

She looked up and took it, breaking a small piece off and holding it out for the pup. "Here you go, little one."

Watching the pup, he stills when she starts to growl, tail tucked in between her legs before she slowly approaches Echo's hand, eyes trained on the morsel, snatches it and runs back a few feet, devouring it within moments

Echo watched, face falling just a little, and when the pup snatched the bread away she let it take it, arms crossing loosely around herself, still crouched. Her eyes softened a grew just a little distant, though she held a small smile.
