You have to have some idea on what your future may hold." She gave a quiet laugh and looked back at her glass. "Either way, I hope it works out for you."
"I don't really see a future for myself at the moment. At least not an acceptable one. My family on the other hand-I see a future for them." He shares her look. "What about you?"

She shrugged. "If I get out alive? I don't know. I may run. Kind of have to if I'm supposed to be dead." Taking a sip, she pursed her lips. "I haven't a lot of choices ahead at this point in time."

"...I see." He smiled at her. "Ill do my best to ensure you get away safely."

"Worry about yourself," she said gently. "You've more reasons to make it out of this unscathed. If I get away, cudos. If I don't, it's no big deal. Maybe I'd have a chance escaping the famine that seems to follow my around.

"Thats one way to look at it."

"Thats one way to look at it."
She fell quiet again, looking at the liquid in her glass and swirled it around. "What's the next step?" she asked after some time.

What's the next step?"
"Rest for now. As much as I can. We leave in the afternoon. "

She nodded and laid her head back, eyes closed as she tried to relax, feeling the warmth of the liquor.

Charlie closed the door and brought the key out to lock it like normal, but decided against it. There had been no signs that she shouldn't be trusted. Putting it away he moved towards the kitchen. That way he wouldn't bother anyone while they were sleeping. Once he had reached the kitchen he had stumbled into a pair of heels just laying in the hallway. Exhaling he picked them up and moved them to a closet, shoes meant that Nina had showed up sometime while he was downstairs. Pulling a chair out he plopped down in it and leaned his chin on his elbow. He may not actually get some sleep, but there was no harm in resting his eyes. Just as he had started to relax, he caught wind of movement to his right. The pitter patter of two small feet resounded in his eardrums and he turned his head to the source. "Did you have a bad dream again?"
Geoffry walked up to him, silently nodding as a hand rubbed at his right eye. "The boogeyman is going to eat me." he watched as his dad got up and moved towards him.
"Raina tell you that?" at the second nod he sighed before patting the kids head. "Come on buddy, lets get you back to bed. " he placed his hand on the kid's back and led him to his bedroom. Charlie's old bedroom had been remodeled into his when they were too big to share a room. Feeling a hand clutch his pant leg, he opened the door and turned on the light. Immediately knowing the routine, he 'searched' the entire room for this so called monster. Once he was sure the child was relieved that his room was safe, he tucked him back in before kissing his head goodnight. Once the little guy was asleep he left the room, turning the light out on the way.

Taliesin rested, storing only when the sound of movement reached her ears. She sat up, watching as Charlie stepped out. Once the door closed she didn't move, hesitant before she grew slightly bitter towards herself. Throwing away her life to help someone? Any other time she wouldn't have been bothered. She did it as a body guard, as a mercenary, as a bounty hunter. But now? It felt different.
Her hand found it's way to her side as she felt the spark in it again. She lifted her shirt a little, looking at the dark tattoo that marked her side. She didn't know where it came from or why it was there, but she knew there had been a pull, and she felt that pull more strongly than ever. Lowering the cloth, weary green eyes found the door again, watching another long moment.

Charlie shuffled a path back to the chair he had claimed just moments ago, once again plopping down in it. Only this time, he slumped in it with his head leaning against the top of it instead of sitting in a straight position. Exhaling he felt his eyes droop shut and he tried rolling his shoulders to ease the lingering sting and soreness.

to leave or not to leave? It was the question Tae pondered. She did promise to stay and try to help, what little she could. But the other part didn't want to linger. The sting in her side though told her otherwise. After several minutes she stood, stepping out of the basement and paused in its doorway. Should she be out?
Slowly she started to the kitchen, pausing when she saw Charlie's form slumped at the table. It was the first she had ever seen him slumped-- he had always seemed so rigid to her.

Charlie breathed in and out slowly, as he appeared to just stare up at the ceiling. That wasn't the case though- believing to be the only one around, his eyes unfocused as well as closed. A small sigh of relief left him, for their was hardly any time that he didn't have to concentrate on everything single thing that was around him.

studying him a moment she doesn't move, and when she does she stepped over to him, her eyes studying his face closely. Seeing his eyes close she fell motionless again, listening, before a hand twitched at her side to touch him. But, she decided against it.
Instead, she quietly moved to the window, peeking out at the outside world to tell the time.

Charlie had faintly heard her approach, even with all the noises that was now overlapping in his ears. Though she was there, he made no move to comment on it- merely exhaling normally. He wouldn't acknowledge her entirely, for he was rather enjoying this little moment that he experienced once a day. Only once did he feel her move and settle did he make any other sort of movement. Sitting straight up in his chair as per usual he spoke quietly. "Good Morning. "
